Hells Bells Queensland State Championships 2023

“Hells Bells” is the pinnacle State Titles goalball competition in Queensland. This event is open to newer competitors whilst also offering more experienced Goalball participants with the opportunity to be selected for the Queensland State Goalball Team which will compete at the 2023 Goalball Australia National Titles in Western Australia.

Saturday & Sunday – Venue Open 8am
Warm up Court available  8.30 am 
Competition Duration  Approx 9am – 4pm 
Presentations  Sunday Approximately 4pm 

 

Competition Structure  

The competition structure will be a double round robin style with each team playing each other twice.  The top 2 ranked teams in each division will play in a grand-final for the gold/silver medals.

 

 Registrations

All Registrations to be completed online.

Registration Fees $100 per player.

Athletes enrolled and participating in a Sporting Wheelies Goalball Social Sport Program (discount) $80 per player.

 

 Refunds

Competitors wishing to withdraw may receive a full refund before the registration closing date of 14 July. There will be no refunds after this date.

Please note all withdrawals must be in writing. Withdrawals due to illness or injury must be accompanied by a medical certificate and supplied to Sporting Wheelies.

 Presentation Ceremony

The event will conclude with a presentation ceremony at approximately 3:30pm on Sunday 6 August.

 Volunteers and Officials

Volunteers and officials are needed to fill various positions for the event.

 Meals

Sporting Wheelies will provide lunch each day to all athletes, volunteers and referees. Athletes/support staff are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks.

 First Aid

Sporting Wheelies kit available onsite throughout the competition.

 Conditions of Entry

All athletes agree to the terms and conditions as outlines on the registration forms. Athletes must have no outstanding debts to the Sporting Wheelies.

 Spectators

Spectators are welcome to attend the event to support their friends, family, or to watch the tournament.

Spectators are asked to respect all athletes, volunteers, officials and event staff, failure to do so will result in the offending person/s to being asked to leave the facility.

You do not have to play Boccia to be involved. You can contribute as a volunteer, coach, team manager, umpire, administrator of the sport or as an enthusiastic supporter.
