Volunteer with Team Sporting Wheelies

Volunteering is a great way to have fun, learn new skills and share your talents. Importantly your time, enthusiasm and skills will help us to better deliver our programs and services to more people with a disability by minimising costs.

As a volunteer you will be contributing to a range of exciting and meaningful events and activities which support our purpose of making active goals accessible. No experience is required for most volunteer roles. We provide training as required to ensure you have a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

How can I get Involved?


Sports programs and events – coaching, sports training, one-off events, team staff, umpire/referee, sports subcommittees or assisting with regular sports programs subcommittees or assisting with regular sports programs


Drivers – transport people and equipment for sport and recreation activities


Health and fitness – assist people with their workouts and personal fitness goals


Public relations – marketing/media skills, photography


Administration – filing, data entry, typing, mailouts and other general office tasks


Fundraising – assisting with promotional fundraising events and minor lotteries/art unions

Current Volunteering Opportunities

 

Event: Wheelchair Rugby National League Round 3 – Brisbane Bash

Date: 27-29 May 2022

Location: The Sport Centre at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Boondall, QLD

 

Roles:

  • Game official (e.g. scoring, shot clock, penalty box). Training will be provided.
  • Transport (assistance required mainly for the 26th and 29th of May)
  • General volunteer
