Volunteer with Team Sporting Wheelies
Be part of something powerful – and help change lives.
There’s nothing quite like the energy of a sports competition – the determination, the excitement, the unshakable team spirit. As a volunteer with Team Sporting Wheelies, you’ll be at the heart of it all, playing a vital role in events that empower athletes with disability to shine.
Volunteering is more than lending a hand. It’s a chance to stand for inclusion, to connect with others, and to show your support – all while building new skills and having a lot of fun along the way.
Whether you’re cheering athletes during a tournament or helping set up behind the scenes, your support makes a lasting impact.
What You’ll Be Part Of
When you join Team Sporting Wheelies, you’ll be part of a welcoming community. There are plenty of ways you can contribute, including:
- Event Support: Help run training sessions, coach, support athletes at competitions, officiate, or be part of the action at one-off events.
- First Aid: Are you a qualified First Aid Officer? Your skills can help keep our participants safe and supported at events.
- Sports Programs: Lend a hand in our growing sports programs! Our weekly Boccia League in Brisbane needs timekeepers, referees and court-side support. With wheelchair basketball expanding soon, we’ll also need more volunteers to join the team.
- Driving and Transport: Help transport athletes or equipment to and from events.
- Health and Fitness Support: Assist individuals in reaching their personal fitness goals.
- Marketing and Media: Use your skills in photography, videography, social media or storytelling to help us share powerful moments.
- Office Support: Help with admin tasks like mailouts, data entry, or filing.
- Fundraising: Assist at fundraising events or support our art union and promotional activities.
Simply reach out to our team, and we’ll match you with a role that suits your strengths.
