Para Powerlifting for Beginners Event 

"Para Powerlifting for Beginners" is an engaging introductory event hosted by Sporting Wheelies. This event is designed to help new para powerlifting enthusiasts learn the basics, focusing on technique, safety, and practical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Event Highlights

Nic Elsey will lead the session, demonstrating core techniques and sharing practical training tips to help you build strength and confidence.

🛡️ Safety First
Nic will also cover essential safety practices to ensure everyone lifts with confidence and proper technique throughout the day.

🏅 Mini Competition
Wrap up the day by putting your new skills to the test in a fun and supportive mini competition – no pressure, just good vibes and encouragement.

Schedule

    • 10:15 AM – 10:30 AM: Registration and Welcome

    • 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Basics of Para Powerlifting with Nic Elsey

    • 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Safety Techniques and Q&A with Nic

    • 12:00 PM – 12:30PM: Lunch Break

    • 12:30PM – 2:00 PM: Mini Competition

Who Can Attend

This event is open to everyone, regardless of experience level. No prior powerlifting experience is required, and there are no specific equipment or suit requirements. 

Registration

All registrations are to be completed online. The event fee is $30.

Volunteers

We are seeking volunteers to assist with this event. If you can help, please fill out the registration form.

Meals

Please note that while we don’t have an on-site canteen, however there are plenty of nearby options just a 2-3-minute drive down the road. You’ll find Subway, Frog N Toad, GYG, among many other restaurants to satisfy any craving (As seen HERE). 

Spectators

Spectators are welcome to attend this event to support their friends, family, or to watch some Para Power Lifting.

Spectators are asked to respect all athletes, volunteers, officials and event staff, failure to do so will result in the offending person/s to being asked to leave the facility

First Aid

Sporting Wheelies kit available onsite throughout the competition.
