Adaptive Table Tennis

Fast, fun and social – adaptive table tennis is a great way to get active, build your skills and meet new people.

Table Tennis is a fast-paced, inclusive sport that builds agility, balance, and coordination, offering fantastic opportunities for community participation right from the local level.

Beyond the strong social component and community connection, the sport delivers significant health benefits. Research highlights table tennis as an exceptional activity for improving balance, motor function, and cognitive health, acting as a safe and effective intervention for neurodegenerative conditions like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

Players can participate in singles, doubles, and social or club fixtures using standard table tennis equipment with minor adaptations. Grassroots players can progress through local social sessions, state championships, and national events all the way to major international stages like the Commonwealth Games and the Paralympics. The program is open to all.
