Sporting Wheelies Sport Structure

Membership, Social Sport Pass, Sport League Pass and One on One Sport Pass Explained
At Sporting Wheelies, we want sport to feel easier to access, easier to understand and easier to enjoy.
That’s why we’re introducing a clearer sport structure for the 2026/2027 financial year. It is designed to help participants choose the option that suits them best, whether they want to join the community, play weekly social sport, compete in a league or access equipment support.
The structure is built around one simple idea:
Join the community. Play your way.
For many participants, especially those who want to try more than one sport, this structure offers better value and more flexibility. Some participants may have different costs depending on what they choose to do, so we’ve explained the options below:

How the Sporting Wheelies sport structure works
There are four main parts:
- Sporting Wheelies Annual Membership
- Social Sport Pass
- Sport League Pass
- Sports Chair Hire
Each option has a different purpose. You can choose the pathway that best matches how you want to be involved.
1. Sporting Wheelies Annual Membership
Price: $55 (inclusive of GST)
The Sporting Wheelies Annual Membership is the starting point for participants who want to get involved in Sporting Wheelies sport programs, leagues or equipment support.
It helps connect people to the Sporting Wheelies community and gives members access to benefits, offers and opportunities throughout the year.
Annual Membership includes:
- Sporting Wheelies merchandise pack
- Access to Sporting Wheelies member benefits
- Free entry to selected SW Social Nights
- One free 30-minute Exercise Physiologist assessment per year. New clients only.
- Access to selected member offers and discounts
- Eligibility to register for Social Sport Programs, Sport Leagues and Equipment Support
NDIS information
The Sporting Wheelies Annual Membership is not claimable through NDIS.
Important note
Sporting Wheelies Annual Membership is required to register for Social Sport, Sport Leagues, One on One Sessions and Equipment Support.
Annual Membership does not automatically include weekly sport participation, league registration or sports wheelchair hire. These are separate options.
2. Social Sport Pass
Price: $160 per term (inclusive of GST)
The Social Sport Pass is for participants who want to take part in Sporting Wheelies social sport programs.
Instead of registering separately for each included social sport program, the Social Sport Pass gives participants access to all social sport programs.
This is a great option for people who want to stay active, try different sports, build skills, meet new people and enjoy being part of the Sporting Wheelies community.
Sports included in the Social Sport Pass
- Wheelchair Basketball Social Program
- Wheelchair Fencing
- Wheelchair Fundamentals
- Hybrid Cricket/Wheelchair Cricket
- Para Powerlifting
- Blind Sport Fundamentals
NDIS information
This service may be able to be claimed using NDIS funding where it is considered reasonable and necessary, aligns with the goals in the participants NDIS plan, and is consistent with the funded supports in the participants plan.
What is not included in the Social Sport Pass?
The Social Sport Pass does not include Sport Leagues or Sports Chair Hire.
These are separate because they have different delivery costs, equipment requirements and competition structures.
3. Sport League Pass
Sport Leagues are separate competition products for participants who want structured competition.
Leagues have additional delivery costs, including referees, officials, court hire, trophies, presentations and competition management. Because of this, leagues are not included in the Social Sport Pass.
League options and prices
| League | Price | Details |
| Wheelchair Basketball League | $160 per term (inclusive of GST) | 4x rounds of competition |
| Boccia League | $320 per term (inclusive of GST) | 10-week program |
| One on One Sport Pass | $320 per term (inclusive of GST) | Private Sport of Adaptive Aquatics |
Participants can register for a league as an add-on or as their main sport option, but they must hold a Sporting Wheelies Annual Membership.

Why this structure is being introduced
The Sporting Wheelies sport structure is designed to:
- make it easier to understand how to get involved
- create better value for participants who want to do more
- support people to try different sports
- make social sport more accessible
- keep league and equipment costs clear
- strengthen the Sporting Wheelies community
Many participants will receive better value and more access to sport, especially if they take part in more than one social sport program or want to try different sports across the term.
Who may get the most value?
Participants are more likely to get strong value from the Social Sport Pass if they:
- want to try more than one sport
- currently take part in a higher-cost program
- currently do more than one program per term
- want flexibility across the term
- want to be part of regular social sport
- want to build skills across different adaptive sport programs
For example, someone who wants to try Wheelchair Fundamentals, Wheelchair Fencing and Para Powerlifting can do this through one Social Sport Pass rather than registering separately for each included program.
NDIS and payment information
The Sporting Wheelies Annual Membership is not claimable through NDIS.
The following options may be claimable through NDIS, depending on your individual plan, goals and funding:
- Social Sport Pass
- Sport League Pass
- Sports Chair Hire / Equipment Support
If you are unsure whether your NDIS funding can be used, please check with your Plan Manager, Support Coordinator or NDIS contact before registering.
