Why EverActive matters

As we age, our bodies naturally experience changes that can affect our balance and increase the risk of falls. These changes include:

  • Decreased bone mineral density
  • Reduced muscle size and strength
  • Changes in vision and depth perception
  • Slower cognitive processing and reaction times

But here’s the good news: with the right exercise program, we can fight these age-related declines and maintain overall health for longer. That’s where EverActive comes in!

The science behind EverActive

Our program is based on extensive research that shows exercise can reduce fall rates by up to 39% when it challenges balance limits and is done at a high dosage. EverActive incorporates:

  1. Moderate to high-challenge balance exercises
  2. Sufficient exercise dosage
  3. Ongoing, consistent training
  4. Targeted exercises for the general public

Our exercise stations focus on:

  1. Lateral weight shifting
  2. Bone mineral density and impact exercises
  3. Narrow base of support training
  4. Lower limb strength
  5. Anterior weight shifting
  6. Dual-tasking exercises

Get involved beyond exercise

EverActive isn’t just about physical activity – it’s also a great way to meet new people and do something meaningful. We offer volunteer opportunities as part of the program, allowing you to contribute to your community while staying active.

Remember, it’s never too late to start improving your balance, strength, and overall quality of life. Let’s get active together with EverActive!
