AFLAustralian Rules Football (AFL) is one of the most popular team sports in Australia. There are many opportunities to get involved in the sport through school, club, female, junior, masters and seniors programs.

Development

Development opportunities are provided through local club programs and governing bodies for the sport.

Competition opportunities and pathways

Footballers with a disability may be able to compete in mainstream competition at club, regional, state and national level.

Equipment

Anyone can start developing skills, all you need is a football.

Other roles

You don’t have to play AFL to be involved. You can make a contribution as a club volunteer, coach, official, administrator of the sport or as an enthusiastic supporter. For more information, contact AFL Queensland.

We are proud to be working with AFL Queensland as part of Sports CONNECT to develop more opportunities for people with a disability to participate in AFL as players, coaches, officials, administrators and volunteers.
