Sports CONNECT

Since 2007, Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association has been contracted by the Australian Sports Commission as the Queensland coordinator of Sports CONNECT. This national initiative aims to increase the number of people with a disability involved in sport and active recreation at the level of their choice - as participants, administrators, coaches, officials or volunteers.

Our Sports CONNECT team works with:

  • sport and physical activity providers to prepare them for the inclusion of people with disabilities in their programs; and
  • disability service providers and their clients to raise the level of awareness about sport and active recreation opportunities for people with disabilities
