State junior wheelchair basketball team, the Rolling Thunder, beat the Brisbane-based Dream Team in a thrilling 22-20 A-grade final at the NSG Suncoast Spinners Tournament at the University of Sunshine Coast Sports Stadium yesterday.
The Dream Team consisted of former national level players, including Paralympian Tige Simmons, while the Rolling Thunder's ages ranged from 14 to 17.
The Gold Coast Roller Blaze finished third in A-grade, while the Roller Blaze Blue beat the Toowoomba Bushrangers 17-11 in the B-grade final.
