Our Management Team

Ray Epstein OAM

Chief Executive Officer

Ray joined the Association staff as Finance and Administration Manager in 1990 and was appointed as CEO in 1998. He has more than 30 years experience in disability sport as an athlete, administrator, official and national coach. He is on the Board of the Queensland Academy of Sport and was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in 1994 for services to sport for people with a disability.

Kelli Chilton

Services Manager

Kelli became involved with the Association as a university student in 1988, and her broad experience in the sports industry includes roles as development officer, educator, board representative, consultant and manager at state and national levels. She is committed to delivering quality sport and active recreation opportunities and building more inclusive communities.

David Gardner

Business Development Manager

David joined the Association in 2006 to manage the development of existing revenue sources such as the Gold Choice Art Unions and identify new business opportunities. His wide experience in both the commercial and not for profit sectors has ensured the Association continues to generate the majority of its own funding from non-government sources.

Heather Auton

Finance Manager

Heather joined the Association in 2013 and has more than 20 years' experience across a variety of accounting roles, including project and consulting work. Heather has a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. She is responsible for ensuring professional, accurate financial reporting to Association members and the Board; compliance with relevant legislation; and reporting to various government bodies.

Alexander Marwedel

Human Resource Coordinator

Alex started working with the Association in 2008 while completing a Bachelor in Business, majoring in Human Resources and Marketing. Alex has coordinated the Association's HR since 2009, and is also responsible for supporting the Association's information technology strategies to promote staff development and improve member services.
