Support staff

Our athletes can only achieve their best with the support of coaches, team managers, equipment maintenance staff, project officers and a range of other support staff. If you have a background in sport/recreation/fitness, have worked with people with a disability or have other relevant experience, you can make an important contribution as part of our team. Support staff positions may be paid or voluntary (indicated on the position description). Training may be provided where relevant.

Please Note: A Positive Notice Blue Card or Working with Children check is a requirement of all volunteer positions.

This event will see some of Australia’s top Powerlifting athletes compete in intense competition. This is your opportunity to see the action up close, while helping the event to run smoothly. The following volunteer positions are available: Manual Scoresheet Attendant, Electronic Scoresheet Attendant, Scoreboard Recorder, Spotter/Loaders, Announcer, Photographer with own camera.

Location: The Gym, Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association, 60 Edmondstone Rd, Bowen Hills 4006.
Date: Saturday 27 May 2017
Time: 10am to 2pm
Training: 10am to 11am

The CLASSICS: Queensland Wheelchair Basketball Championships (Boondall, Brisbane)

The event will feature three days of fast-paced and hard-hitting competition as elite athletes from all over Queensland showcase the elite skill and athleticism that make wheelchair basketball a thrilling spectator sport and one of the most popular sports for athletes with a disability in the world. The following volunteer positions are available: Manual Scoresheet Attendant, Electronic Scoresheet Attendant, Short Clock Operator, Control Room Attendant, Photographer with own camera.

Location: Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Sports Centre, Melaleuca Dr Boondall QLD 4034.
Dates: Friday 9 to Sunday 11 June 2017

Fierce 4 Wheelchair Rugby Challenge Round 3 (Coomera, Gold Coast)

The 2017 Fierce 4 Wheelchair Rugby Challenge will see some of Australia’s top wheelchair rugby players go head to head in a series of matches across three days of intense competition. This is your opportunity to see the action up close, while helping the event run smoothly. The following volunteer positions are available: Manual Scoresheet Attendant, Electronic Scoresheet Attendant, Forty Second Clock Operator, Penalty Box Scorers, Photographer with own camera.

Location: Coomera Sports Complex, 35 Beattie Rd, Coomera QLD 4209
Dates: Friday 16 to Sunday 18 June 2017
Times: 9am to 5pm (approximately)
